Daniel Lui is a director and editor who has showcased his talents across a range of popular TV shows, including American Idol, Love & Hip Hop, Sneaky Pete, Live PD, and Evil Lives Here. Driven from his experience and determination as an Asian queer filmmaker, Lui embarked on a mission to amplify LGBTQ+ representation and racial diversity in television and film. His passion led to the creation of The Circuit: New York, an LGBTQ+ docuseries available on Amazon Prime and an exciting spin-off film set in Puerto Vallarta coming soon. Both projects explore the underground LGBTQ+ dance culture in their respective cities through the voices of DJs, entertainers, event producers and party goers. His most recent work, the romantic drama At the End of the Leash, starring actors from The Gilded Age, Star Trek, and Fellow Travelers, is currently in post-production. Lui has been featured in BroadwayWorld, Queerty, DNA Magazine, Logo News, and Instinct Magazine for his work. His creative vision extends further as he plans to continue developing films that spotlight underrepresented voices and bring fresh perspectives to the screen.
